“You will always miss out on 100% of opportunities that you don't take” - Anonymous. This is a quote that I really like - opportunities are there, but unless people are open to them, they will miss out. There are a number of opportunities for Orewa College students to take up in regards to full-time and part-time jobs - many have been advertised on our Orewa College Careers Department facebook page or in the school notices.

Another opportunity that should not be missed is the first North Shore Careers Expo, advertised below, on Wednesday 23 & Thursday 24 June, 5-8pm at the North Harbour Stadium. All students, especially seniors, are encouraged to register for prizes and head along to assist with their planning beyond school - there are over 50 organisations represented, including all NZ universities, many ITO's, the forces and other tertiary institutes. There are also a number of Open Days/Information Evenings that are coming up, all are advertised on our Careers Google Classroom (frapsx6).

Year 13 students and parents are reminded that some scholarships are open for applications and to use the Ultimate Checklist created by Moneyhub to assist with preparations for next year.
