ANZAC Poppies For School Remembrance Garden

As part of our year 8 electives in 2018 we decided to create some poppies out of clay for our school Remembrance Garden. The intention was to build up a collection of poppies that "belong" to the students as we celebrate ANZAC Day. The poppy flowers were created by last years Year 8's, painted and varnished by 2019 Year 8's and the stems and stamens made by Mr Nelson and his Year 10 class. Thank you to Mr Irving, HOD Art for firing the poppies too. This collaboration across the year levels and teachers has made the poppies very special to all of us. Will shall remember them.
