Netball

Orewa College supports our Netball players by providing opportunities for skill development, fitness training, and team building. We welcome beginner players through to premier players, and also support umpires through their training and accreditation. We welcome players of any gender to register.

Season Dates

Games are played at Netball North Harbour (NNH) in Northcote and the Netball season runs during Term 2 and part way through Term 3.

Game Days

  • Year 7 games are on Tuesday evenings.
  • Year 8 games are on Thursday evenings.
  • Year 9 games are on Monday evenings.
  • Year 10-13 games are on Saturday mornings.

Game times will be posted in the Facebook Group and the TeamReach app, and are also available on the NNH website.

Fees

There is a $50 fee for trials (non-refundable) and it will be deducted from the players overall fee for the season.

  • Year 7-13 season fees are $185.
  • Senior Team 1 (Prem) season fees are $245 (this includes a bond for their Premier Jacket).

Trials

All players must register for trials using the online Netball Registration Form 2024. Trials will be held in Term 1 in week 4-5 and days/times will be confirmed closer to the time via email to students, whanau, and in the daily notices.

Uniform and Equipment

Players must wear an OC netball dress during games which can be purchased from our Sports Office for $95.

Practices

Practice is once a week at Orewa College, usually before or after school. Coaches and Managers will communicate with players via the TeamReach app.

Student Umpires

Student umpires are paid $15 per game which is paid monthly. We encourage students of all year levels to achieve their netball umpire badge.

Coaches and Managers

If you would like to assist with the team, either with transport, coaching or managing you will need to be Police Vetted by Orewa College.
